I watched six shots fly past him into the net at old trafford. My opinion changed of him then, he played shit. And he's never really impressed me either.

england were pish in the first half, if they wopuld of been playing a decent side then 2 goals by england wouldn't of made a difference as they still would of lost

Erm, i'm Sorry but what exactly could James have done with the goal, if he went and stood at the post, yeah he would have saved it, but if there was a slight touch there would have been a goal anyway. He had to do what he did, he didn't have much chance with the goal, it was a freak goal, the defense should be able to clear those sort of balls in.

In short, He's a Good Shot Stopper, but thick as pigsh|t. But i still think he should be in goal, can't think of anyone consistently better

I agree he's a decent shot stopper but you're having a laugh if you're saying there is nobody consistantly better, what about Robinson, Wright and Seaman for that matter they're are all consistently better keepers than David James

lot of people hving a go at james, and he should'nt be in goal because west ham got relegated.im sure he is picked becasue in sven opinion he is the best man for the job, seaman won't play again, robinson lack expirence like hoult and kirkland is injuried.

secondley it was not down to david james why west ham got reglegated, it was down to him playing behind a shite defence for most of the season, only in the last couple of mounths when brevett and johnson come into the side did we look decent and go on a run that was better than any one in the leage

All three were higher than James in the Carling opta ratings, Robinson is probably the best young keeper in the country, and James let in more goal than any other keeper last season yet you still support him. Come on, on current form James shouldn't even be in the squad let alone our No.1

on Current form, as Mr. Jr. said, he wasn't bad, he had a shite defense all season, and west hams form @ the end of the season was better than anyone except maybe Bolton and United... So you can hardly say he finished playing shite.

Do you not remember the save against Turkey ? Which stopped them equalising ? Obviously not

Think we better just agree to disagree mate, Imo he's not good engough and there are more able English keepers, Yes granted he has pulled off some great saves but far to often he makes silly little mistakes that we'll get punished for against world class opposition. Good shot stopper, Yes, good goalkeeper, No.

martyn martyn has'nt played first team football in 1.5 years
murray has'nt played in the u21 as ryes evans and steve bywater are the 2 main keepers
weaver has'nt played since he was replaced by carlo nash at city bout 3 seasons ago
taylor hardly has a run the in first team to be caller consitant (although this may change)
walker in the squad at the mo, had a good season but don't rate him
Kirkland Very good keeper when given a run in the side, looked v good till he was injuried
Robinson good keeper who plays infront of a mostly shit defence

the reason james let more goals in than any one else and that is opta rationg was lower as for most of the season he had shit like dailly and breen infront of him

What in bed?

James is quite tasty.
But Gerrard, Rooney and Kewell are more so.

You say Robinson hasn't enough experience yet they play a 17 yr old upfront! How old was Dyer when he made his debut? Ashley cole? Steven gerrard etc etc you need to put him in as he'll never gain experience otherwise, Robinson is a great goalkeeper, its a shame he dont play for Man Utd or Arsenal as he'd pick himself
