I'm with Evisu, the clear indicators make the front look loads better. These handle nice as well apparently.

Compared to the Corsa B and C standard for standard, they are a dream to drive round bends.

I've got one as a company car and think it's great fun to drive. It handles and is a good bit quicker than my old 1.4 Sport. Very underrated in my opinion

My mate has a standard one like the above. Seems to feel as if it would piss all over my 1.4 sport 16V. But he does drive quick and I haven't ever raced him so maybe I should give it a try.

Handle good, gutless engines.

I dont think thers very much modding potential in Fiestas. All the ones u see always look the same, but with different exhausts. U can't alther teh body shape much, can't put as much custom work on it as u could a corsa.

I do agree with this comment as there isnt much kitwise u can go for...mine is std though so dont bother me...as for gutless...there about as gutless as my 1.6 sport I had...there performance is very similar..a lot of people seem to think they are slow cars...really there not...on a par with 1.6 sport.

I suspect u have no right to compare these cars. My mum has the 1.6 fiesta and if the 1.6 sport is anything like the GSI the corsa wud easily out run the fiesta. I feel I can almost overtake my mum in my SRi 8valve.

there are infact 2 tenths quicker to 100 than saxo VTR, just not very quick to 60. They do 130 downhill.

I feel that I am in an excellent position to comment on this matter as I owned a 1.6 W reg sport for 2.5 years...and have had the Zetec-S since january...they are very similar in performance etc...only the Zetec-S handles a lot better...so please G T F with your biased views!!

also u say your mum had a 1.6 fiesta...what model?

my 1.25 16v festa turd aint too far behind to 60mph, thats just ridiculous!!! Ford need to sort that sh!t out!!

I mean if ford can get the last XR2i's to pull 60 in 8.5,

(i doubt the zetec weighs that much more? Do they have traction control?)

then why cant the zetec-s match this????

discuss!

Yeah the zetec-S comes with traction control and ABS as standard...with refernece to the XR2i etc them cars where from a different age...cars back then didnt have such high emmissions rules etc...also the XR2i had a much higher insurance grouping hence the quicker 0-60.

The GSI is prob a bit quicker to 60 but I can only comment on my own personal experience..I have owned a 1.6 sport and the Zetec-s there is nothing in it in performance 0-60...the fiesta would beat it 0-100 though...I am speaking from real life experience..which of you lot have actually owned the 2 cars...none of this I raped on the other night crap...how do u know the other person was trying!!

a 1.6 sport does not take 10seconds to 60! It takes 9.5 and therefore is quicker to 60!

anyone care to dissagree on this point? NO!!

yes the older cars did not have such high emissions, and therefore no need for a catalytic converter, however should modern cars be moving forward or backwards in terms of performance?

Answers on a postcard please!

Insurance grouping??? WTF?? when did this come into the conversation?

sorry i forgot to add the other side of the arguement,

if the zetec-s comes with traction control and ABS as standard then it probably weighs a considerable amount more than a XR2i and hence the quicker 0-60mph times!!!!

Just out of interest, do you prefer your fiesta to your corsa?
