please reread my reply
"yes superchip for GT = original Fiat mapping with boost cuts removed and raised revlimit. boost increased to 19psi. this is far too much for my GT3 and with original mapping it runs lean. PGTF with superchips being good"
the increase in power comes from a £15 bleed valve not the £400 chip. you don;t need the boost cut raised or the rev limit raised cause you should not be running that amount of boost with the engine
do you think that is safe?
also read other car forums about their experiance with superchips. they are wank. if your putting in cams, manifold, inlet etc your best off with a unichip. anything more and I would junk the OE ECU and fit DTA etc

But then if u were to be doint that to your engine i certainly wouldn't invest in a superchip or unichip. I'd look into a custom setup.
And as i said, had to have ur silly little remarks in there.

WTF are you on about Daimo. silly little remarks GTF. I've pointed out the what the superchip for the GT3 is and asked if you think it is safe. where are the silly little remarks. as for what I have done to my car. I have spent bugger all on the engine. My POTR chip does what is says on the box. I don;t need anything else. I would not trust anyone to map the GT as they do not know what they are doing

I have yet to find a company that can tell me how their chip works in conjuction with an automatic gearbox ECU... Hence why I haven't done anything on the Astra engine-mod wise.

Adam - All AF13/AF20 etc. auto gearboxes on Vauxhalls have a seperate ECU for the gearbox. Was the one you had the standard Toyota one or did that have to be remapped?

I would have thought that the auto ECU just reads values from the engine ECU?
I reckon it should be OK to get the main ECU chipped, as Vauxhall gearbox has normal economy mode and Sport mode, which holds the revs in each gear.

Here'a couple of links if you're interested....
Superchips:
http://www.superchips.co.uk
Unichip:
http://www.unichip.co.uk
http://www.dastek.co.za
http://www.airpowersystems.com.au
There was a feature in MaxPower a while back when they put a cossvaux chip in their corsa which had also undergone a 2.0 16v conversion there too. So with the C20XE, Kent cams and pulleys and the cossvaux chip it's kicking out 170bhp ish.
Hope this helps!

superchips just raise the rev limit and are an off the shelf mod. plug and play
a unichip is tailored to the individual car so is superior.
i run neither so not biased

AS much as i hate the arrogent smutty commented person, he is right.
So they do what they say, and not otherwise, so why do certain people slag them off if they dont look into what they are doing, or it doesn't provide them with exaclty what they want. If its not designed that way, its not going to work???
