You can tell in this thread who actually has a clue about football and who has played at what level!! David Beckham is one of the best proffessionals in the world....never in the papers 4 goin out gettin wasted n raping some1!! etc!! He is the best crosser of the ball in the world and his dead ball technique is second to none!! Look at nistlerooys goals at man u wen becks was there and then look wen becks left!! Quite a contrast!! Look at england.....absolutely shocking now hes gone he wears his heart on his sleeve and will give everything for the team he is playing 4!! all has come through years of dedication and practice!! Footballers careers are short and so they are entitiled to try and make as much money as they want from the game!!

1. Yes he never really goes out and gets wasted.....
2. He WAS the best crosser in the world at one time...dont think he cuts the mustard anymore as Gerrard and Lampard are more than capable of putting the same type of crosses in...
3. He has a decent free kick technique BUT he cannot be included in the 1st eleven on this fact alone...
4. Yes he wears his heart on his sleeve and give his all...but his body isnt up to getting up and down the wing all game now...he IS slowing down...and he wasnt the fastest player to start with...he may give his all but sometimes this isnt good enough...
5. I agree footballers should be able to make whatever they can out the game...they have a talent which is in high demand...therefore there pay will be high...

England need his experience at the moment, having said that, if the guy is injured there isn't much that can be done.

well said, he has worked has all his life for what he has today, so why complain when hes earnt it

besides its not his fault for the press constantly writing about him, im sure he would prefer his private life to be kept private!

being a man utd i think the bloke is amazing and still would welcome him came to Old Trafford any day, that said he is on a deline but isnt a has been from the football he was playing at real before he got injured

i disagree, plenty of experience in our squad, just they are too over paid and lazy to churn out decent performances,
