1405!
Dont even need to look!
EGR valve!
1 means its a manufacturer code and 400-405 are codes for the EGR valve.
Expensive to replace!
Best of taking it off and refitting with a gasket that blocks it off!

EGR valve takes some of your exhaust gases and feeds them back into the inlet to improve economy.
Sod the economy, take the thing of and put it back on but blocked off and ignore it if the light comes on still.
If the EGR is knackered it will cause running problems, especially at idle and when you back off.
Didnt know it existed till bout 3months ago but seems most cars have problems with them, especially vauxhalls!

Go in to the garage at the vaux dealer and offer a mechanic £5-10 to check the code and clear it out of memory, don't pay £25 like i used to!

Could be a loose wire, could also be a dodgy connection in the EGR itself.
If you get running problems then try blocking it off before you fork out £200 for a new one!

You can only see it on a V6, but normally its under the inlet manifold.

This is what one looks like (black cylinder on an alloy pyramid thing

And here's where it fits on a 16v corsa normally.

Ist image zoomed up.

Think so.
Was a few months back, can't find any pics of a v6.
Got a plug with 5 wires going to it.
