id love them to bring it out, but my point was, the majority of ppl that want it will be between wot 17 - 23 id hazard a guess at, anyoneabovethis will ave familes or just want biggercars
wot chance realy ave anyone under21 got to insure it,
and the only other reason i say this is the price its gonna be, id say 12, 995 easy on.
think wot kinda car u can get for the money today, like i say id love one yea, but ppl who wud buy dont look at it as a "corsa turbo" but as a hot hatch thats alot of money, where they can get summat to bequite honest alot better for the money

yes its a supermini, but will be a bloody quick one at that!! Its typically aimed at the little market wanted by todays younger generation. Look at the Clio 172? Is that a supermini?? Yes it is! how much does it cost?

but personally i dont think it will cum out, i know they say they,
but its like ford, the focus cossie was went to be out last year, acoupleof years b4 that wen ford got the cosworth name bak, now they say next yeari bet that wont cum out.
manufacturers promise so much nowadays but just dont deliver.

why all the hype and press releases for a car which might never see light of day?!?! Vauxhall are different nowadays. They are inventive and more importantly, they trust in their products. Look at the Signum, who would have thought that would be succesful?? its sales are very impressive so far, regardless of what jezza clarkson says. Look at the VX220 Turbo, it beats the Elise at its own game. The Corsa GSi is just the next logical step to compete in the hot hatch market, alongside its older sibling, the Astra GSi.

well you would say that wouldnt you robbo. If it pushes out around 170bhp standard with about the same figures for torque, it will give the CTR a run for its money. Start cranking up the boost and it could easily see the good side of 200bhp with ease.

The Focus Cosworth is slated for release though. They were very sluggish releasing the RS. The same will happen this time, but will be even worse. Like you said, car manufacturers are terrible sticking to release dates.

It would rape a civic if played with
It is aimed at the sort of people who would buy a 172, Cooper S, 106 GTi, maybe the Cupra R....... so there obviously is a market for these types of cars???
Its just people may get more car for the money when buying a Cooper-S as the workmanship is of another level. I mean just take a look at the interior for a start!

106 GTi being the cheaper end of the scale and the Cooper S the more expensive

No it wouldnt, belioeve me... it really wouldnt
And Cupra-R's (Leon that is) have 212bhp so its not gonna gt anywhere near that either - and how can you put a 106 GTi ( an a cooper s 4 that matter) in the same bracket as a CTR/Cupra R????? The CUpra R has 92bhp more than a GTi!!

I was merely pulling cars out of the air that would appeal to someone buying a fast car, i know the figures for them gimp boy.
Why wouldnt it?
A turbo is ALOT more tuneable than a screamin v-tec is it not?
and its Torque figures are ALOT more impressive are they not?
Is the corsa a smaller, more lightweight car?
=Civic gets wanked on

Which it probably wont, as cybermonkey says if its 1600 it will be a new lump and bound to have some teething troubles

regardless of what the competition is, there is a thriving market for 'hot - hatch' type cars at the moment, it will do well imo....

you have a right to argue Rich. Robbosri is really worried that a stock corsa IS going to be faster than he almighty CTR.

Not at all, but it will beat all the ones mentioned so far (excl the Cupra - dead match probly)
