Why do most of you drive 1.2L cars??? Don't they make 5L V8's or is fuel a scarcity?? i will not ask what i am really thinking or you might get offended!

In australia, the majority of cars on the road are over 230Hp!!! If you go on a cruise with other modified cars then you would be lucky to find a car under 280Hp with most over 300Hp......just trying to understand why you would bother with anything less than 1.8L!!

This is a corsa website, thats like asking why most of us drive Corsa's. The reason not many ppl on this site has big engined Corsa's cars is becuase they're young and can't afford insurance prices that you get charged in this country.

Back to your light brows, i think they look shit

Well a young person would actually have trouble finding someone to insure then on a 1.8 Corsa over here, if they did find a company the rates would be VERY expensive.

hey, this has got stupid, personnally i think all light brows r tacky and a cheap alternative to a proper bonnet.

I think them blue ones (top pic) r good tho, i'd never want em, but as for looking different and changing the look that drastically and for the price, they r spot.

all the poll options r fair enuff imo and this geez just wanted feedback....

and for all this power malarky. what 1/4's and 0-60, top speeds etc r u getting from corsa's there?

Ok....as a comparison.....For a 21yr old to insure a 1.8 Corsa in NSW (the most expensive state) it costs 400 pounds/year......now your turn.....

I think the same situation a 21 year ld would pay near 1k (with 0 NCB) for the same insurance.

3corsaMeal......

To be honest there hasn't really been much publicity regarding 1/4 mile times but they have clocked a standard 90Kw 1.8 Corsa at 9secs 0-60mph.......

I havn't done any test on the SMURFF yet as i am waiting for the Exhaust headers, Computer and Induction Manifold to be finished.

do u have many high powered corsa's there, with minimal body mods? i'm not a fan of bodykits and big wheels myself.

Think the best road going corsa here has managed a 4.9sec 0-60 . but sure some 4x4 converted one's can manage 3-4secs

that would cost around £1k to insure over here due to young drivers and crime and shit. Admitadly i dont know if that is expensive compared to what you earn over there.

Opels and Vauxhalls are a no go zone for mods in Australia.....No one has parts and no one specialises in mods for them....I am getting everything custom made because its way too expensive to buy from the UK. In Australia they mainly mod 2L Turbos and up.......street cars pulling 11-13sec 1/4's driven by 18-20 yr olds are the norm here!

people put 2l turbos into corsa's and nova's, that common over here.

Got many pics from cruises and shows? i like seeing the scene in other places?

seems that every country that ain't britain pays better insurance and don't have to put up with little cars when they young.

U do get the young'uns with Supra's, scoobys, evo's etc here, just its a lot more rare to see, most 17-21yrs old's have "hot hatches"
