Id get a company like the AA / RAC (costs about £100) to check it out they will tell you exactly whats wrong with it. then take car + their report to peugeot and demand they put it right - whatever it takes! how longs the warranty got to go

You don't have to be in the AA to have an AA inspection done on the car.

If I were you I'd establish what exactly is unsatisfactory about the car and leave it with them until the faults are rectified.

If, according to your mate, the gearbox is 'going', I'd firstly review your driving style that you're killing a gearbox, then wait until it does die before contacting the dealer. They can't fix it unless there's actually a problem, and yes, jerky gear changes are a driver issue.

Mite be worth while if its really fucked they will tell you.

A mates brother bought a Golf GTi from a garage - took it home and everything started going wrong - Got AA to check it out and got 2 A4 pages with things wrong with it, worst one being a cut&shut. He had to fight like fuck to get his money back - engineers report helped tho.

Ian, do you mean actually kill the gearbox so they replace it? How can i do that without them knowing I’ve done it deliberate?

WOW, a cut and shut, that's bad. I have noticed that dealers just seem to rip parts off other cars they have on show.
