I'd be pretty disappointed with those figures TBH. My 1.6 lump runs pretty much the same spec and produces 180bhp at the wheels and peak torque of 146lb/ft. Oh yeah, and my close ratio Quaife box goes in next week, which should spice things up a bit...

Exactly, Saxos are pants. Lets just leave it at that.

Dave Sharpe, he was at the Corsa Vs Saxo day i think. Put in some poo times. 0-60 of about 6.4 or summit (which is fast, but Andys beat that before it had a new shell, less weight etc). And correct me if im wrong, but isn't his like fully rally spec stripped out, red and white car???

it is the red and black car you think of.

that was the old spec, and he destroyed the engine @ brunters that day, thats why it hasnt bene on the road till now, ha ha.

supercharging is an option, but they all seem to go pop! all the old style chargers need replacing now.

the guy putting in the best times of the moment is a guy in a vts, with cams and headwork, and nos. 13.9 i think 1/4 mile

although there are a couple of turbo vts's getting better times, and more and more chargers coming out.
