STi 7's TypeUK 265bhp

22b TypeUK (only14 of them) 280bhp (possble 360bhp)

Jap spec

400 22b's in total 14 were sent for the UK market to be tuned by Prodrive.
yes.. the road going version of the Rally car!

Spec C is the new stripped out version.. now. very early bug eye C types had 16" steel wheels all ready for the different class of Rally stages.. something to do with the brake size... or what ever.
No under seal, no boot liner/carpet etc.. rear boot mounted water tank for the intercooler! Kool or wot!

PPP stand for Prodrive Performance Pack.. avaible on UK cars... cost on top of the car price about £1500 extra.

New UK MY03 std £20K + PPP= £21500
UK STi8 03 £25K + PPP= £26500
you might get them cheaper.. haggle

Jap spec STi 8.. about £22k
Jap Spec Type C between £27/29k.. dependent on the one you go for.

A tuned scooby will eat a corsa 2.0 16v though The UK ones are nowt special, fair amount of work to get them to WRX/STi power. Try racing a jap spec one and It'll be a different story

Why you'd want to mess with a 22b is beyond me? Fair enough tuning it but body mods are needless, especially fast and furious gay bits

Exactly, I'd have thought their market would be middle aged people personally? A nice tuned and immaculate engine would be far better

do you know what its cost him to do all that to the car.... nothing.
all sponsorship.. from companies who get loads of 'work' from showing off what they can do for ppl.
as adam says.. all the bits are easily put back on.
make him an offer for it.. he might sell it, as the next project car is an Evo4

Std scoob nought special... mines doing easy 240bhp.. only with ITG panel filter and straight tho de cat zorst!
