I chucked out the electric windows on my Corsa and replaced them with manual winders to save weight

Personaaly I would go for ax gt..But it's finding a good one.
Very light
Quick for a 1.4....Easy shed more weight off it..

maybe a bit tinny but handles like it's on rails once slammed on 15's

I had one slammed on 15 comp mo's..No back seats etc.....Was rapid....

Power = 135 Bhp
0-60 = 6.9
Top Speed = 127 mph

I was lookin at them myself, test drove one and was ready to do a deal with a dealer near me! but he sold it to his brother! And after a little while looking around and being bored of having no car I bought myself the GTI

They do the same standing quarter as a CTR but unfortunately in standard trim they dont go round corners! Could all be sorted for 500 quid tho :S

Theres some figures here...

Thats some serious fun in an 800 kg car!

If your not gonna mod it much go for the S1 Rallye, but the AX could be made even quicker with the money you'd save on the purchase price of an AX.

metro my arse

i first thought about the ax cos they can be made to look well tidy with a bit of cash. and when the engine blows up or dies then a nice VTR or VTS transplant would suffice and make one hell of a quick machine. but chances are i wouldnt modify the car for a year or two due to insurace problems which leads me to think that the s1 rallye would be a better solution
