Under normal circumstances, with a decent driver in both, racing from 0-60.....
nova 1.2 8v wud beat a corsa 1.2 8v (dispite same engine)
Nova 1.3 SR wud beat a SXi corsa
Nova 1.3 SR wud keep up with a 1.4 8v corsa SRi
Nova 1.4 SR(i) would keep up with a 1.4 16v SRi/Sport, if not beat it.
Nova 1.6 GTE/GSi would beat a corsa 1.6 16v GSi/sport
Nova 2.0 16v would beat a corsa 2.0 16v
Nova 2.0 16v Turbo would beat a corsa 2.0 16v Turbo
U get the idea now....
And thats how it is, due to immense difference in weight. Especially where we are looking at later corsa's that had air con, ABS, Airbags, thicker chassis's etc.
The nova would also outhandle the corsa.

Mate these magazines are lying. I'm TELLING you, there is no 16v nova's as standard. The nova sri's are quicker than the corsa sri's.

max power also says that LED washer jets are "cool"..........does that mean u went out and bought a set??
Fact: The vauxhall nova was NEVER released, running a 1.4 16v under the bonnet.
Fact: The nova mk2 1.4 SRi had the 1400 8v MPi engine, which put out 82 bhp, and was alot quicker than 14s to 60.

MattyB, the Nova GTE/GSi is not quicker than a Sport 1.6 and definately not quicker than a Corsa GSi.

I'd be supprised if the corsa came out noticably on top against a decent nova gte/gsi. Factory figures are for the nova to be quicker as well.
