Rear disk's are absolutely no benefit on the back of a corsa and if anything it will make it worse and lock up even with a bais valve fitted with the weight thats over the front end. Good brakes upfront is all that is needed.... most peeps only put them on for show purposes as they do look better..
If you go the full hog which is not cheap... then a bias pedal box with the correct cylinders and a bais valve.. Then you have full control over preventing the back from locking up with disk.. Even then it could still be touch and go.

if the drums are working correctly they are every bit as good as a disk setup

its to do with the added weight over the front with bigger engine. ive had discs and gone back to drums as it just feels better when braking hard. yeah bias valves whatever. but drums work perfectly fine on the rear of a corsa.

The rear brakes only give like 20% overall braking anyway don't they?

see if you are happy with the drums ted, then if not try discs and see what you make of it. i have no weight in the back of my car, so discs make it awful, drums are spot on for me. maybe some people like the back end to brake harder than the front causing some skids.

I have never considered a rear disk conversion to be honest but my car does struggle under breaking if you're braking hard from high speeds and at times locks up How do the small Corsa MS cope with V6 brakes?

turbo calipers are better than the v6 brakes tbh. the small master cylinder works find with the reylands i have. good stopping power in my views and ive tested them braking from 160+ and im well happy.

Oh right Cavvy Turbo set up? Is that bigger calipers and brakes? I only have 2L Cavvy brakes on atm and I don't rate them over my 1.6 set up if I'm honest.

the cavalier and calibra turbo are 288, discs etc pretty much similar size to v6, just for some reason the turbo calipers dont leave you with the spongey feel people always mention.
the 2litre cav ones are only thicker really than the standard corsa 1.6 ones so not really a massive improvement. also vented near the centre of the disc.
from what ive read elsewhere, warren g sells a 280mm caliper and disc kit, all new vauxhall stuff and people seem to rate it highly. think its around 300 pounds. worth a u2u anyway.
i ran the turbo calipers and disc set up when i had a pub talk 400+ bhp and i thought they were not too bad. i only really changed them as the reyland set up came up for sale cheapish.
with the current pub talk bhp i have, id still rather keep the drums on the back. thats my personal view anyway.

No I understand why people keep drums on the rear, just I thought he meant drums were better than discs in general, eg drums up front, which was a laughable comment
I'm gonna go discs on the rear of mine although if I'm honest it will mostly be for looks. But then the ST's come with discs standard so they kind of come standard in a way so won't be like a Corsa.
