One of my mates that works in Manchester is a jammy git. They have all the World Cup games projected on to one of their office walls.

I said about it to one of my mates at work here and he said he wouldn't want that as he'd spend all his time watching the football and not working.

I fail to see the problem, why's that a bad thing!

some places are real funny about stuff like that, if i run a company or was a manager, yes id crack the whip a bit with the staff, but id let them do stuff like this, i really fail to understand how employers cannot see that a happy workforce is a productive one, giving a little will gain you a lot more from your employees

I think we would all like to watch the world cup in work, however thinking of it economicallly from your managers point of view how much it would cost in productivity efectively paying people for 2 hours to watch football?
