The bumming in the press today is hilarious ‘Fergie’s babes come of age’ yes because it was a suprise to see ‘Arry’s team roll over and die for Fergie? What was that team he put out FFS I think United's main strength is the fact half of the teams with an LMA manager in charge are in awe of them and never think they have a chance, ‘Arry is a good example. If he spent less time talking his team down and telling us who he's tried to buy and focussed on drilling some belief into the players he already has then he might have had a chance. It's funny how he left Modric out a few days after saying he's a 'top professional' and he's now saying he doesn't think he's played his last game for the club and he wants to keep him as he’s ‘a top professional’ (who can’t get his head right for the club that pays his wages)?
Don’t get me wrong United looked decent but they left so much space in behind that Spurs should have been able to do something with, Lennon and Defoe are brain dead and VDV seems to have forgotten there’s a final third that you are allowed into before shooting. It was madness to leave Modric out.
Anyway it’s good to see Spurs (and Arsenal) struggling as they’re who we’re competing with for CL places

Why is it so amazing that Utd had a young squad out?

I was surprised at the midfield considering we had Giggs, Carrick and Park on the bench. The defense was due to injuries.

Because they are young AND amazing. How many other teams have as young a squad as ours that can do the business?

TBH Spuds need to strengthen, had little threat in the box. Quite a few players are just treading water and not progressing.
United looked good for a young squad and will get better once they have had further time to gel.

As a complete neutral I find the latest United incarnation incredible, never thought in a million years they were good enough to turn over Spurs yet. Best Spurs side in years and years as well.
