Right you lot shall love this especially my dear Fadeel.
Here we go. Today me and the mad scientist drilled my headlight lenses to get give the projector a clear path. See before:
After:
You can't see in the pictures very well but the hole saw snagged at the last moment on lens 2 and subsequently cracked I'm not to disappointed as essentially I'm amazed we didn't smash em to peices but it's not perfect so not the best job, but fuck knows how else you do it other than luck.
Also I wanted to have a chrome surround like the E38 BMWs had. However, this did not work so well, purchased some Bhangra chrome stick on trim and gave it a go. Was after this:
Came out like this
So that's a no no. Which is a slight shame as it covered up the crack. Oh well. Any suggestions appreciated for this one!
Here is the first lamp built up with my LED angel eyes installed.
Add some power et voila:

So fitted my HID's today with my mate, well i say i fitted i passed various tools and siliconed an angel eye or two.
Anyway here is the pics:
Before:
One removed:
Plenty of space here:
50/50:
Comparison:
FItted
Plus points are they are 1000x better than previous lights, the angels are amazing.
Downsides are that they need adjusting badly, but as we closed the bonnet to test it all working, i lined up my dads 330 next to it as a rough beam guide and then discovered my bonnet cable has snapped
Been on the blink since i bought the car and a common E36 problem, but I had delayed it.
Now cant drive the car at night

They look much better than i thought they would tbh. But then again anything is better than standard E36 bulbs, they always look so old and out of place. I still prefer the look of the standard lights when they're off though but that's just my personal opinion
Bonnet cable snapping is very common, i fitted a new one to mine last year and was such a pain to do, i had literally the full front end off to fit it along with the wing obviously. Good luck doing it

Yeah know these will divide opinion! I think they look just great. I too slightly prefer that std look without the rings when off but tbh the old glass was so fucked I'm just happy it looks fresh. Needs a clean and we will see how goes.
Trickier than I assumed installing these, it's an MJ kit and quality impressed me. Have got a flicker on one bulb from start up which needs addressing.
Will try get some better pictures.
