Too many plinth lights. You only need half as many and then spread them out a bit. Less is more and not tacky.
Don't you think it will look like this?
How do you mean can you find me a pic on google of the sort of spacing you're advising

Bit pointless having lights shining at your socks isn't it though?

LED strips work as long as you use a diffuser, otherwise they end up looking like >this< which is a bit 'corsa footwell' special.
House is looking good though!

Thanks Dom, I was going to use LED strip for under cabinet lights, but now really stuck whether to just get normal brushed alu circle or triangle ones

Fitted these plinth lights
First job to get the electrics up to the fused spur, fish wire in
Cut out a hole and comes out here
Stripped wires back and fitted the spur socket
Drilled the holes for the lights, 20mm Auger bit
The connections on the lights are really good, waterproof too
All fitted
Looks alright I think, obviously not up to CS usual standards

I want to gradually get Hue in every room. Done 3 so far.
Only thing is I don't like their downlights, they're massive and white. I want small, chrome surround, dimmable LEDs... any recommendations?

It looks really good but short of making a nice facebook photo I don't see the point? Its not like you invite people round your house and then leave the lights off so they can see how moody your kitchen looks?

You could always leave the fridge open if it gets too dark?

It's a good alternative at night, especially for the early hours fridge raid as it stops you squinting like a prat for five minutes while yours eyes adjust (plus saves some nightvision for the return to bed)

Personally LED strips with diffusers as it'll give you a better and even coverage of light; even better if you get dimmable strips.
