Talks broke down over his salary demands, so Arse pulled out.
His agent had a word and told him not to be a dick lol.
Come on AW.

arseblog: And Benayoun is underwhelming but better than nobody. And he could help us with our accounts too.

and this is why im so ambivalent at the mo. this attitude of x or y is better than nobody is a nonsense - youre stuck with them then plus they arent good enough

£10m bid accepted for Arteta. Just personal terms.
Surely he won't screw himself out of CL etc etc

biggest insult ever tbh. think you lot are just going soft in the head tbh. a real fan of a club would never want to sit by and watch their best players beign sold and replaced by literal tat from relegated shite foreign teams and 31 year olds not wanted by other clubs
also, i have said im not slating the likes of arteta and mertesacker, i just think we should be aiming a lot higher plus should have done this a lot sooner - not the last 2/3 days of the window. arteta is a good player and he will do ok for us but £10m is still a lot for him at his age and it isnt very inspiring given some of the pople weve been linked with and could afford (fee at elast)

If i was an Arse fan i'd be very disappointed in AW only bringing in 3/4 players with one being Benayoun

Or, you could trust in your manager that he knows what sort of players will fit into his squad, and thinks, like most others, that Arteta is a fantastic addition to the squad

ok, so jump back 12 months and we sign arteta, hardly would ahve gone down that well, especially if we'd then sold nasri and cesc, let alone a year later as the replacement. again, not saying hes not a good player but we should still be aiming higher.
also, wenger has lost most trust by not doing anythign significant up to this stage, ballsing up his own transfer battles and also, really, not signing anyone of quality in some time - i really dont think at this stage of the transfer window that you can say wenger knows whats right for the squad!
if we can turn thigns round then of course wenger deserves credit, and as much as im unsure about him at the mo, he probs should stay but he seriously has a lot to do to win the fans back round after this summer and i cant see these new signings bedding in for a few weeks at least. add that to our usual november lull and by december we could miles behind he pack
