Dan, progress is really coming on well with this, the wheels really suit the car, and lower i really like the 5 door, eventually put a turbo in it an that would finish it off a treat, and smoke grey too!

x2

I've had the flocking done by CBC services in Banbury. it cost me £25 for just the door pockets.

Mark, thanks mate. Good night last night?

pagey, cheers mate still a lot more to do before im happy with it but im getting there .. i'd love to turbo it or fit a bigger engine. Gotta admit i've seriously been considering buying a LET or XE to build & learn with over the winter.

Good stuff stu, i'll have to catch up with ya @ PVS

Updates:
kerbed 2 wheels yesterday while driving round bedford so i'm going to have to re- polish the rims to try and sort the kerbing out before pvs. Its quite bad though so ideally i could do with a replacement lip.

I've heard from the company sorting my flocking & i should have the trim back early part of this week

I've also just finished painting the roof rails

pics .. soon

as promised a couple of new photo's of the Black headlining fitted & the painted roof rails (marmite)
The original idea was to paint the roof rails with a gold pinstripe (match the wheels) but i couldn't get any smoke grey paint mixed in time, so they are currently just painted white gold & lacquered.. if it doesn't work or grow on me then i'll mask up and base over with the smoke grey to leave the gold pinstriping next time i've got the guns out.

As for the headlining, i tried to re-trim but found that the material didn't stick very well and ended up sagging in places, my only other option was to use fabric paint, looks much better imo.. As for the sunvisors, i'm trying to get my hands on a sewing machine to have a go at re-trimming them in the suede material i used on the door cards.

the rest of the flocked trim wont be fitted until friday but i'll get a few pics up of it asap

very easy mate, just undo the pillar trims, grab handles, sun visors and take the clips out that hold it up near the tailgate, gently remove it from the door seals and slide straight out the boot. Be careful not to bend it though as its quite fragile

GSI, thanks mate

Scaron, Haimsey: yeah wasn't sure what people would make of them but they seemed to go down ok

small update:
Have noticed cars with all red rear lights as standard (peugeot) and i quite liked the clean look about it, i wasn't too sure on the legalities and wasn't sure if it would effect the light output from the indicators etc. so after a bit of reading into it i thought i'd have a go at tinting my rear lights.

i took the lights out & cleaned them with soapy water then spirit wipe, i then used red tinting spray in light even coats.
once covered and happy with the colour i left them to dry & noticed they were patchy and still quite matt, couple of coats of laqcuer brought back the gloss and they look as good as new

before:
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/6541/dscf0337.jpg

after:

indicators still glow orange, reverse does have a slight pink tint to it but you can still tell the difference between that and the brake/side lights. Have read that using a green bulb in red tinted lights will also work as the indicator.
