Went about rewiring the wideband today..
Pulled a 2nd wire through so i could ground it at the ecu. Also added an inline fuse.
And wired the new TMap sensor.

On your back breaks, is the other caliper for the hand brake?

Started mapping the ecu tonight.. Its actually very easy to do, you get a base map and the first thing you have to do is a fuel learning session where you drive around are different revs it uses the eml light to tell you which cells have been learnt so you basically just drive around until you cant get the eml to come on any more
You can see here the green cells are learnt, light green have more than 150 readings, grey cells have more than 10 readings and the cyan cells are anything below 10..
So once you have done that and turned as many cells green as you can you just write that info to the ecu and thats it.. You then do power runs which works out your afr fueling (above 6k) and you can see how much knock etc your getting
This is knock, ideally its wants to be under 1 so i need to alter the ignition until it falls below 1.
2 shut pics at my mates house..
Atm with just learning the fuel map im getting somewhere between 340 and 360 bhp. So once fine tuned id expect to see 360+ all the time.
I did a 0-60 time on the performance box and recorded 3.7 to 60 but i did have a dodgy start and it had just started drizzling.. Id expect a propper start in good warm weather to give about 3.5 / 3.6 seconds.

It'll make more power and drive better if you don't use auto tune.

Do you mean the afr auto tuning? Thats just a guide, after its done the afr tuning for you, you go in and fine tune it on a rr'd.

got another croft trackday tomorrow so i just tinkered a little bit.
bought a racelogic vbox which does telemerty with video overlay and a OLED screen which gives you live lap times and tells you how far infront or behind you are of your best lap live.. im looking forward to trying that out
altered my tow hook and painted it red.
and finally put my front numberplate on velcro.
i bought a gopro hero3+ black to get soem decent footage aswell
ive not driven it much since my last trackday so there isnt really much to do on it.

Why the need for a go-pro when you've spunked so much on the vbox

Quality of the vbox is shit with it being a lite and not a hd version.
Im not really bothered about recording on the vbox as silly as it sounds.. All i want is the live oled timer. Its 2nd hand, i didnt pay the £1450 they wanted for a new un.

Thought I'd seen this parked up at croft but upon reflection the one at croft was quite a bit different.
I've been there a few times recently and that vx220 has always been there.
Have a good day tomorrow.
