There's loads of different game modes, "turf wars" is pretty fun 
Urrm off the top of my head, deathmatch (each for their own), team deathmatch, turf wars (protect your area of land) urrrmmm theres more too, can;t remember

see its the little things that make it so ace! i just robbed some dudes car as he was getting out and he grabbed the handle as i drove off, he hung on for as long as he could

Ive discovered the joy of landing the helicopter at the edge fo the bridge and taking out the police guards
Then fly to the end of the pier and set the choper down... shoot anyone in the chopper (watch thme fall into the sea ) and bazooka any choppers you dislike and use the sniper rifle to take out anyone daring to set foot on your pier... you can evade a 6 star for hours

Yeah the little subtle effects are ace, the blood down the side of the car when you hit people, trails on the floor.
However i think they have removed stunt bonus, i did a perfect barrel roll in an suv and got squat.
I have noticed though that some car you can smash and then they just stall and wont start, whereas others just burst into flames.
And finally, what annoys me is when you get out a car the door always stops me from running around the front, i.e the door stays open.
