I take it voda won't have it?
probably not as the diamond and touch high shockingingly bad customer reviews, and returns went through the roof.

Rumours that we may do an O2 and give Storms to all staff as their work phone (O2 gave all their staff iPhones - 2G)
Also rumours they will buy out your feast contract and give you a storm for free if you want (voda employee thing)

lol @ high definition screen with 360 x 480 3.5" display.
Think you need to be up at the 480x800 in the newer phones to claim high definition

Plus the vid that John posted before, looking good so far
Few specs mentioned...
A ‘clickable’ touch screen design – the tactile screen means you can actually feel the buttons click down as you press them on the screen.
Choose the keyboard to suit your style – switch from a Suretype keyboard (two letters to every key) to a full QWERTY keyboard.
Synchronised messaging – all your emails, MMS, SMS and social network alerts go to one inbox.
Incredible high definition screen.
Superior sound quality, and even better you can sync your music with your PC.
3.2 megapixel camera.
er every one of those features is avalible in handsets now, my touch pro does all of that apart from the clicking in when i press the touch screen which i wouldnt care about at all.
And like i said before the screen on the touch hd is higher resolution than this, so no its not got AN AMAZING HD SCREEEEEEENNNNNNNNN its pretty bog standard infact i think the touch pro screen resolution is higher than it but i cant be arsed to check.

Just had a play with one of the demos that RIM are showing off on site, its very very nice Lighter and a tiny bit smaller than the iPhone, seems to operate as a fully functioning phone ie mms, multiple recipients fo sms etc and some very nice features too

Just reading a bit more about the specs, none of the material I see claims it's high def, they all say it's high resolution.
Although high res is pushing it when it's not that high res that's different from claiming it's high def.

Yes I would tend to agree... all the pre-specs said high def screen but none fo that does and no-one has mentioned it so I guess its not true HD... its bloody good screen though irresepctive

RIM hasn't in any way made the phone unattractive to its traditional corporate loyalists, and might just manage to snag other users looking for a flashy phone with decent email, but when it comes to browsing, media playback and other forms of consumer-friendliness, RIM still has a ways to go.
From engadget, that's not a stonesthrow away from what I said earlier on in this thread without having it in front of me.

Looks like quite a tidy unit. Supprised by the omission of Wifi as this is sometime I know people are using more, specially in connection
with Spype like VoiceOverIp facilities

Yeah we all think thats stupid Rob, but then as we helped build it I guess we dont want people using free wifi instead of payign for our network but its deffo a glaring ommission in comparison to say the iPhone IMO

I didn't even notice that, so it's came out without wifi
Even if it's the best phone ever it's an epic fail even before it's in the hands of the first customer.
