Do you reckon. i got 9.21 in the clio with traffic, reckon I could have got a sub 9 on a clear track. The mazda is slower though but I was catching willay at mallory, saying that its built for corners. My bro said the astra trumped the mx in a straight line.

I hate people who get grumpy about chasing times.

It's the only reason I enjoy going. I set myself a challenge and then try to beat it.

I did think that but wasn't going to comment, that's the reason most people go, just have to be safe whilst chasing, not like the guy in the Nurburg Astra who pushed his and the cars limits

I go to enjoy myself. If it means chasing times then so be it. However I also drive with plenty of 'talent' left in the tank. I don't brake late etc. However if the GP track is open, it will be easier to get a rethym together so may be more willing to press on more. I'm still using the car I need to go home with, and unlike a uk trackday it has a few countries to travel!

I can't get excited until I've finished this back breaking work with my dad, rolling ceilings is painful.

Just having first of this weeks sunbeds I want to look like David Dickinson before we go.

That is the same mentality I am going out with Spanishfly I don't see why people are so afraid to admit to chasing times
