Not much of an update but got some photos of the engine bay.

Before PVS i'm wanting to get the rocker cover powder coated, new header tank, chrome strut brace and a general tidy up.Is there anything i can spray on the the majority of the engine bits to make them shiny?

Strip the paint from the heatshield and redo it silver imo, Other stuff can't really be done without taking the engine out and doing a proper job (What I done with my 12v), So without taking the engine out I'd just clean it bloody well, steam cleaner maybe.

Some decent all purpose cleaner or degreaser and a good pressure wash will bring that up a treat mate Once you've got it clean it will be a lot easier to keep on top of. Then for shows etc you can dress all the plastics, hoses etc in the bay to make them nice and shiny like you would the bumper trims

Like Shaun said mate

If i were you I'd also stick a bit of paint on the top of the suspension tops so they don't stand out so much against a clean bay

Polish that rocker cover, work your way from about 400 wet and dry down to about 1500/200 depending on what shine you want then autosol it up with either a buffing wheel in yoru drill or good old elbow grease.

Blacken up any rusted bits or silver or what ever colour you choose

A proper degrease, Halfords sell some degresers (but there dear) as will most of your adverage hardware shop.

From there its getting things powdercoated, relocating wires to minimalise things chroming/ gold plating, the world of coating is your oyster
