Went out on my Cotic today and ever since I got the forks they have never really felt right. Anyhow after todays ride I stripped them down. Turns out the bell housing that serviced them last based down on the south coast had over filled the damper causing it to stiffen up to a practical lockout at 80-90mm travel. Damper has been sorted now and they feel cock on.

they are ideal. Carry speed very well. Not quite as good to more tec trail riding though.

Got some miles in earlier around Bike Park Peak district. Slow up-hill still (have been all my cycling life tbh) but blazing the descents. Aiming to drop a fair bit of weight over the next two months, should help me up hill. I've even got the turbo trainer ready.

Yes needs some working on that does! I was riding alongside my mate and his was 130ish and mine was 160ish. Need to drop some bark and it will get a bit more sensible!

I thought I was the only one hitting stupidly high heart rates. I hit 172 (95% max) and averaged 152 (84% max) and that was nipping round the blue route FFS.
I often hit 180+ I nearly puke and all these cunts like Barnes etc are chatting away while I die...
