Well we previously had 5x 40 watt bulbs in there, so ten times as much as the led's.
My electrics about 30 quid a month and i'm in £100 credit, so yes, definitely makes a difference.

I should have said prior to them buying! No idea what had been stored up there by previous owners!

I changed every lightbulb in my house to led ones a few years ago, including the ones in the fridge freezer and cooker etc.
Saves me a fucking fortune...

Any recommendations for bulbs? Would probably prefer a warm light than cool.

I have a mixture of minisun and osram bulbs. They were about 5 quid each. Expensive, but I was replacing bulbs every couple of months, so they pay for themselves very quickly.

Readily available from diy type places? Got a tool station over the road from my work you see. G9 I think the ones in the living room and bedroom light are.

Where are you getting these lights Nic? I want a new one for the living room and struggling to find one I like, I don't want a low hanging one but I don't want a spotlight, difficult to find

Living room one is from home base the rest are b&q. They had some very good options in b&q and they are not massively expensive.

Kitchen blind done. Bit of a wild sunset tonight. Quite stormy out there.
Will get some better pics of the dining room and kitchen once I've tidied up.

That's the state of the living room currently. Shelves to go where the picture was taken and a new rug to get yet.
Kitchen looks great really happy with it.
