Pain and gain was ok I thought but I'm into that sort of film. End of watch I think I watched the trailer and expected some thing different. Each to there own anyway boys

Revolves mostly around Niki Lauda, some good action/racing scenes but mostly based off the track. Enough boob to keep a teenager happy, some moderately graphic surgery scenes to keep the girlfriend quiet.
Would be better for viewers with an appreciation of historic motorsport and some knowledge of the Hunt/Lauda history.
Still and enjoyable watch though

Thought it was a good film, my girlfriend couldn't watch the part after his accident (you know which bit I mean )
Didn't think my girlfriend would have liked it but she said it was really good

Just got a bluray copy of Iron Man 3 so watched it again. Not sure what rating I gave it after watching on release day but it is definitely better the second time around. It's now an 8.5/10 for me.

Rush - Even better than I was expecting.
Some minor historical inaccuracies & detractions, plus a bit of chronological & poetic licence taken here and there.
Obviously it's a film and not a documentary, so it has to fit in a two hour slot and it has to flow right and look good, so these infractions were inevitabilities.
In spite of this, I wouldn't say they took away from or spoiled the film. And on the whole, it was just superb and a beautiful film to look at.
From a personal standpoint, I would have wanted them to have spent longer on and detailed more of, the British GP and it's controversy, if only because I was lucky enough to be there on the day and was hoping to see a little more of it.
I think Ron Howard has a very measured and tasteful approach to this sort of thing though and he's done us all proud. Well worth the wait.
I'll be giving this little gem a 9.5 out of 10 and will gladly go and see it again. I will be purchasing it on Brownray as soon as available also.
