Serious question btw

i remember seeing this at crail nic and the rear whas still pushed down as you went into third gear.
is the start not like a bobsleigh run
as anytime lost in the starting process can be muliplayed by x by the end

thats it yeah, thats what I'm trying to address now with it. the only downside is it may affect how it drives on the road far too much.
problem is, its a road car and i dont want that part of it to suffer too much as its a good laugh kicking it down the country roads.

the other matching dzus fastener has arrived this morning. really fast delivery from www.jjcraceandrally.com i recommend them.
hopefully get them fitted later if im a bit better.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moroso-Quick-Release-Fastener-Tool-Dzus-/271007964101?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f19555bc5#ht_1236wt_1182
this is the tool they sell to remove the fasteners. basically where the slot is that you turn, its not flat, its curved, and with me using screw drivers thats how ive knackered them as its twisted the slot basically. im not paying that much for a dzus tool though, hopefully be able to make something or find something that will work better.
thats how bored being unwell has made me, plenty of time to piss on with photos in lightroom.

there is a video from a few years ago of bumper removal using the dzus fasteners. think i may get some different style ones for the headlamp panel where the bumper attaches as well. make it a bit quicker.

Can't you just get a large screw driver and file it rounder on the corners so it goes into the fastner better?

yeah thats a good idea, will go investigate in the garage. needs to be quite wide but also slim enough to fit in. could always grind away at an old one.

can see the state the screwdriver has made of it
best thing i could find in the garage, its the bracket that is supposed to be on an xe/let to hold the pipe that goes from rocker to dipstick tube. works well.
thats the spring that they attach to
new one on, done both sides. i will sort out that badly fitting arch at some point. has the wrong bolt/nut in it so its loose.

ive had enough of vauxhall side skirts. the clips piss me off, trying to align it back in pisses me off. it sticks out from the body of the car becuase the clips are knackered. the lacquer, in a 1inch section had decided not to dry from last night so its now been smudged with a hand print, so i now need to sand it back down, re paint it, and re lacquer it then try and make it fit on the car again.
it really needs clipped on properly as well as glued. i reckon its just gonna come off again once ive got it back on. fuckin shite.

had hoped a quick sand then lash over with a bit more spray would recover the hand print but it took a shit load of sanding down again sadly.
into the spray booth
primered up the bit that needs it, rubbed the whole thing down.
sadly out of paint, so it will remain like that until tomorrow. hopefully try and get some clips from vauxhall unless they require me to buy a bag of 400 like normal.

the tags on it are a bit knackered so I've got a big ass screw to hold it in place then going to glue it in to the skirt i reckon or find a way of screwing it in place. its the front lugs that are dead which is annoying, and ive only got spares for the rears that i can find. sure i had front ones as well.
