I watched Captain Philips tonight.

Fucking awesome.

I can remember the real life incident quite well, and so i pretty much knew how it was going to end, however, Tom Hanks played such an amazing role as ever.

A must see film in my opinion.

I'm struggling to think of a reason why it isnt 10 out of 10 really

Grown ups 2. 8/10 i really enjoyed it laughed in a few places. The end was abit over the top but over all good.

Law abiding citizen 9/10. Great story line gerrard butler plays a great part and keeps you guessing all the way to the end.

Is there a reason it was given a 12a rating? Sounds a bit kid like to me.

I didn't even realise it was a 12a to be honest. Quite surprising that it isn't a 15 in my opinion, but meh.

Ditto - 10/10 for me. IF i had to find any kind of criticism, it would just be that it was a tad long but thats scraping the barrel a fair bit.

Tom Hanks probs the greatest ever actor for my money Just becuase his range is so amazing... there was the advert for the Mary poppins film beforehand where he plays Walt Disney

For some reason I'd not heard of this until you mentioned it in here. Looks fantastic from the trailer and reviews. Will go see it on Sunday.

Thanks!

Funnily enough, the missus put it on and after an hour of sub titles I read the box which said it had English audio

I think its the first sub titled film ive watched all the way through, as its more about the (almost non stop gory) fight scenes

Trance - 6/10.

Was a bit fuked up in some parts.

Law Abiding Citizen will gain "classic" status few years down the line. Awesome film.

Only £10 on amazon.

Does that have the directors cut versions of all the films, like the 6 disc version?

Otherwise return it immediately!

That said, it's probably one of the best blu ray transfers in existence. The original is from '79 and besides a few shoddy special effects it looks better than a lot of modern films.

Agreed.

The CGI in Alien3 is... unconvicing, to put it mildly.

Edit: Though did you enjoy the scene with Ash's severed head, that was clearly not just a man hiding beneath the table? The switches between doll head and real head are not exactly subtle.
