do you have the sensor in the right place? liek because the ecu may not know where tdc is if the sensor isnt exactly at the right place on the pulley?

shouldnt matter it should still give a pulse to the coil even if its in the wrong place in the engine cycle just want to get it doing something then i can set the timing on the ecu

are you testing it with the multimeter.. the sensor on its own? to see if it produces a voltage?

happy now. Turned crank sensor round and im getting a signal from it now lights on ecu are pulsing when i turn it over so it must be doing something but its still not sending a pulse out to the coil so i need to sort that out somehow but at least im getting somewhere with it even put my cool running stat on to celebrate

pulled all the ends off the zetec leads i have and tried the leads i have on my 1.6 8v corsa and they are plenty long enough but dont fit the coil so it looks like im going to have to combine the two

bit of an idea of what the inside looks like. total shit tip. managed to squeeze ecu and all the wires behind the drivers side kick pannel now so everythings neat and tidy. also took my gauges off as i want them blue to match the clocks and mfd. shouldnt be too hard to do.

got rather a lot done tonight sorted a bit more wiring out got ecu mounted properly now wired fuel pump in and coil is firing now i have connected that so think the 2 must be linked together. Only thing i need to buy now is a set of ht leads and then my icv and tps to turn up then i can put all the tb on then it should be ready to start
