benefits of a supercharger on a near stock engine i like the torque spread too!

like the graph, so peak torque is at 4729rpm ???, would you shift at that, or leave it later in the rev range ?
genuanly intriged and potentially asking a stupid question

power is still going up monstrously at that point so no you wouldn’t shift, the torque pretty much stays there till 6/6500 then it starts to fade so shifting at 6.5 is fine, been driving it about all day putting some miles on it, its great fun! just feels like it has a bigger engine with no weight penalties but then it would as you pretty mush have 150 + lb/ft where ever you find yourself in the rev range

cool, just wondered what the ideal was with peak torque in the 4's and peak power at 6ish
not really had much expeirance with superchargers apart from my mates golf with a m45 on it, as per the astra, and just remember it beeing very linnier in acceleration, but only up to 5k when it seemed not alot happend after

nah this pulls all the way to 6.5/7 but is very linear hence the similar ft/lb almost everywhere, lol

With the Mini you can drive it all the way to the redline and it's still making power, lot different to drive to turbo

lol, don’t give him ideas! but be interesting still i think, gear ratios and weight differences, and just be funny to hear two chargers whining away in a tunnel somewhere...
