Cheers all
Short but sweet update.
Came accross this pretty cool pic online from Brands last year, obviously forgot which car i was in
Bought a spare coil + bracket and also the leads off Bigron so cheers for that mate
Also decided maybe i should have a spare crank sensor so got 1 of them in
And at Cadwell my front discs seemed to have warped again slightly, was warned they could do when i had them machined. So bought some new 1's to continue the year
Thats all for now

Little update all.
Fisrtly i went along to VBOA spares day and picked myelf up a very tidy alternator to keep as spare
Decided to fit the cool running stat and new housing
Fitted a slightly bigger header tank to help with expansion, this is off a corsa C
And fitted the leads that i got off Bigron, cheers for that mate
Not a great lot to do then with the 2nd round (Croft) about a month away.

What pads you running? if your "warping" discs might be worth changing pads

I'm running ds2500's mate. I had then machined earlier last year as they were warped when I bought the kit 2nd hand, the engineer said the warp could return and because Cadwell is really hard on breaks uts came back. Gonna stick the new discs on and see how that goes.

Quick update, just getting ready for round 2
first of all decided i best have a spare clutch cable
Cleaned all of my wheels and tires
And then did a full spanner check, oil and filter change and fitted the new front discs
Took it a quick run to make sure all was good, including the gear linkage that we re-set up
Thats all for now.

my mate is the seller of these, they're awesome pads! especially as ds2500 are a fast road pad, no good for what you want neil. the rc6 is equivalent to the ds3000 pad

Report from Round 2 Croft.
We got all loaded up and travelled up to croft on the Friday before the event to be on the safe side, heres the corsa on the trailer
Got there all safe and sound and someone took some nice shots of the car
Anyway the action began on sat morning, Warm up and Practice just being used to familiar myself with the track/lines etc and I was really happy with how the car was fealing, dint push very hard atall to preserve the car and myself
Qualifying.
Pulled out of the lane last as I like to do and let the big boys shoot off, did a lap or so warm up then the lights went on (tells others your on a hot lap) and I went for it. Got a few nice laps in a row but a couple of cars caused a bit of traffic slowing the lap. Then came 2 really nice smooth fast laps and I knew in my head I couldn't do any better so I then did a couple of slow down/ cool off laps and the session had near enough ended, soon as I pulled in my dad was holding up the 1 finger hearing I qualified 1st in class, very happy . Turns out out of the whole club class I qualified a very impressive 9th out of 18 cars of which all higher bhp
Qualifying results, Club N/A
1st Neil Bamford (me) Corsa 1:40: 074
2nd Neil Holden Civic type R 1:40:754 difference of 0.680 (yes very close)
3rd James Proctor Civic fn2 1:43:356
Final.
Same as before then entered the track last to let the big boys shoot off in front giving me a bit of space, however this didn't turn out so good for me this time as by the time the others had cleared I could see the big boys coming back round so didn't wanna get stuck in the middle so had to push. This put me a little on edge I think I was getting a bit scruffy scrubbing speed here and there. Watching the video back I had 2 decent laps right at the end 1st 1 being a lot better (believe this was my best of the final) but the 2nd was perfect I knew I was on to a hot lap until 3 corners before the end a car didn't get chance to move out of the line I wanted and so in overtaking him I lost the flow of the corner and this runined my lap , the chequered flag was then out and I had no time left, I was gutted deep down and knew I could of done better, truns out the Civic Type R beat mt ime by just 0.547
Final results, Club N/A
1st Neil Holden Civic type R 1:39:563
2nd Neil Bamford (me) corsa 1:40:110 (slower than my best in qualifying)
3rd James Proctor Civic fn2 1:42:593
I was truly gutted I missed out on 1st spot but it was so close. However due to points on qualifying etc means me and Neil Holden in the Civic type R are still equal on points at the top going into round 3, its sure gonna be a close year.
Yet again the little corsa did me proud, didn't skip a beat all day and drew in the surprised crowds as always
Heres a few pics from the event photographers
Videos are being edited as we speak, thanks all
