Graphics are ok imo, I know what to expect from this gen hardware, and they are a fraction better than my expectations.

The graphics look immense as soon as you get out of the city. Especially when you start flying around in planes!

The water effects look amazing as well.

Very impressed with the game! The flying is good fun

I too know what to expect from current gen, and this does not meet said expectations.

I agree slightly the graphics arent mind blowing but you don't buy this game for the graphics.

It looks fine on Xbox via a fairly average Panasonic LCD, not amazing but certainly better than previous GTAs.

Liking it so far but I think it'll take some getting used to, there's quite a bit to take in at first and the info boxes are gone pretty quickly.

The info box fucking annoyed me because when you have to crouch behind cover on the first mission to avoid the door explosion i couldn't work it out Had to resort to the manual

Yeah i've noticed the cars explode quite easy. Also the 'handleing of cars seems so different to GTA4, as if something is missing. bit arcadey to me.

Handling will come down to driver skill, car, mods, any damage to the car.

Not played a massive amount, just got to fly a plane for the first time and taken out all the bikers. Good fun and really can't wait for online.

Has anybody tried the stock market yet?

Yeah, I wish there was a "put on seatbelt" button.

Worse though is being graced by a car, while walking, and your character just enters rag-doll mode and collapses on the street.

There seems to be a lot more activity on the streets than previously.
A car stopped for me as I was stood in the street and was immediately hijacked by some random thug.

Also saw a car chase that ended when the pursued car hit a wall. It then evolved to a shootout in the middle of the street, between police and thugs.
Naturally I helped things along by driving over the thugs and stealing their car...

I had one of the random bits where someone was stealing a ladies purse, I was in a car, so went to run him over and get the reward...ran them both over by accident. No money

Really can't knock anything, only played the first few missions and then went on a free roam for an hour or so last night and I just want to go home and get back on it !

Car damage is spot on imo, did a jump and landed on the back end, suspension collapsed and smoke was bellowing out from the wheels as I tried to drive.

I noticed this too, quite like it tbh. Seems to be back to SA-like handling, I thought they had tried too hard with the physics of IV. Saying that, the bikes and quads in this one are a bit too arcadey at slow speeds, sorts itself out when you hit a decent pace though.

You've just done what?

Unfortunately my display settings were correct, but tried turning on upscaling on the AVR and it actually did a remarkably better job than the TV. Quite impressed at how much the jaggies were reduced, actually.
