Playing like what? Did you watch the game? We lacked quality in the final 3rd, we had most of the posession and we spend most of it in your half. We've been pretty poor at breaking anyone down when we've been at home, it wasn't for lack of trying tonight. Why am I not welcome in here again?

52% possession, I wouldn't say that was most of it, Tom. Admittedly it was in spurs half but like you said poor in the final third. At the end of the day you should have more as you are at home

To be fair, all the talk going in to the game was about how we needed to nulify the midfield and I thought we did that and expressed ourselves well on ocassion. Our link up play was on and off and it follows suit from most of the home games in the league. I think it's a mental thing, we had young players like Spearing and Kelly and even players like Johnson and Bellamy (and later Downing) fluffing the final ball. It's something we need to get over, and I genuinely think that it'll come, bit it'll probably be too late to get 4th. To suggest that we weren't going for it is wide of the mark though (not your words), we gave it a go but it just hasn't clicked yet. We're lucky that the others in the race for 4th have been just as inconsistent.

I'd be worried it hasn't clicked after 24+ games.
Fortunately you have the CC final (which you should win) and a good opportunity in the FA cup but those a side would it be a dissapointing season if you don't get 4th? [/no bait]

I don't really think you can put those aside, I'm happy we're in a final and still in the FA cup, I will obviously be dissapointed if we don't get 4th, but it's got alot more difficult than a few years ago because of City and Spurs (and possibly Newcastle's involvement this season). I think the club's going in the right direction, so I can't say I'd be too f*cked off with Europa League and a Carling Cup.

You can't say you wouldn't have him
I know you can't put the cups aside but the goal at the start of the season would of been 4th spot I would of thought.

He's a fantastic player for sure, I hope he doesn't get injured Tommy (I'm enjoying watching him tbh).
The goal was/is 4th, you've got to consider that we've lost our most consistent player along the way, and had Gerrard injured until recently and Suarez out for 9 games. We're still in the hunt though, Arsenal and Chelsea will drop loads more points and we could well get into our stride yet. I'm happy with the improvements we've made defensively, hopefully we can get Suarez, Gerrard, Bellamy on the pitch more than not for the rest of the season and start scoring some goals.

Also wtf is going on with Assou-Ekotto's hair

I thought Parker was worth 2 or 3 players to Spurs last night.

One of the best out there imo, his work rate is fantastic.
Can be a little dirty but he's an old school ball winning midfielder and he does it very very well. Wouldnt have minded him at arse. Parker and song holding let the front 4 go mental.
