Van Persie is off had a feeling it would happen.
So he isn't signing a new contract, so it's fair to say he's off in the summer.

utter cunt tbh. sat on the treatment table for most of his 8 years then when we make him captain and put our faith in him and he comes good, he decides to fuck off 'disagree on direction' my arse. weve just signed 2 international strikers to support (now replace him) and been linked with several other decent players - what more does he want?
cant stay now. city can have him for silly money so we can boo the fuck out of him

RVP has gone down in my estimations
Wish he would stop bullshitting around and just say what he thinks the club should be doing but isn't rather than all this "we don't agree on the way the club is going"

These owners weren't here when file was signed. We've reduced the wage bill a lot over the last few years, yes we paid silly monies out in transfer fees but none of those players signed are on more than 70K.
If he's gone for more money, or for a route to united then good luck to him. I've never been massively excited by signing him ( not that i would have been against it) and I think weve go much more important areas to strengthen in first ( wings, cf, dm).
Oh and btw bob after the last page or so, I must say I'm quite amused to hear about RVP10 questioning Arsenals ambitions

Aside from the Emirates Cup *snigger* you haven't won anything since 2005 All very well saying you made a CL final and have consistantly finished in the top 4, but you have no end product. Arsenal is a very good business model etc because they make a profit/balance the books is all very well for a regular business, but the aim of a football team is to win trophies, not qulify for the CL and make the shareholders happy.
Guy isn't getting any younger and clearly wants to win something.

I hope RVP is going to stay. As you have said there are lots of reasons to stay.
I don't see him going abroad as his family are very settled here, his children have been brought up here and hes happy with the schooling etc they are getting.
Will he win anything if he stays. Maybe not but bar city I don't think there are many other places he could go that has much more chance of winning anything.
I can see him staying for another couple years then going back to Ajax for a year or something.

Ray Parlour saying Arse should cash in on the £25-30m for RvP. Is he smoking crack?! Never going to get that for him with his age and injury record.

if wenger wants to make him hated for the disappointing way hes done this, then he may well do tbh. as we all said before, he is nearly 30 so wont be around for that long so wouldnt be a huge risk. depends really.
previous point about him having few other options are still vvalid but, as stolen from twitter, his statement is very carefully worded to make his position 100% untenable- sad really.

Not bait, but Wenger is constantly building for the future and not the here and now.
When you first signed Arshavin I thought you were going to make some progress. Walcott has not become the player people thought he would, Eduardo and Ramsey snapped. Then your lesbian left.

Lets go Robbo & BenJ quote hunting

Yeah. I actually think he'll stay.
He obv loves the club and as you say we wouldn't need to match wage offers from other clubs but we would need to improve his current offer. Thats a no brainer. Yeah he could go to another club and win trophies, but he'd get more staisfaction staying at Arsenal and winning something with us.
He's no Nasri who had no loyalty and went for money.
Loves the club he does.

So clearly that's why Wenger took in Podolski and Giroud asap.
