I've got a full set of black carpet covered plastics for all the pillars and a black roof liner to match, just not so sure about fitting it because will make the inside of the car ever darker

Had a chance this weekend to get out to the middle of knowwhere - the old RAF Fiskerton airfield - to have a play with the audio. It was very windy which has spoilt the audio quality, but managed to get a video whilst we were there.

During the course of the last year, I've had small crack appearing on my semi-smooth boot (from a previous poor job) and now with the bass from the audio its been getting worse. So I picked up another boot that had been done by a chap I use locally who work is well known for its quality.

Whilstever the smoothing on the boot was perfect, it had the usual signs of rust around the window seal - so that had to be sorted first which meant a whole respray on it. Seems a waste of time and money, but I now know I have a solid boot lid!!

Whilst the lads we're at it, desided to get the bonnet redone after some fairly big stone chip damage!!

I also have some V6 Brakes on the way from Nath, with G&D discs and EBC pads. Looking forward to getting these cleaned up, painted and fitted.

The V6 brakes arrived earlier this week, thanks to nathan87

My X16XE doesnt really need the V6 upgrade, but it's something extra to have and more to fill the wheels out & look the part. So the clean up and prep for the paint has started.

Took a couple of hours to get everything back to a decent bare state ready for paint, but really happy with how they all came out. Even had a go on the discs as well, came out great

So got everything back home and enlisted the help of the wife to get them painted

Used red high temp engine paint, came out a bit pink after the first coat but there now drying after having several coats and look the part.

Is it worth upgrading anything else along with them then, so it can handle them/use them better?

Only other thing I upgraded was I replaced the hoses with braided ones but I can't see that making a huge difference? Can only relay my experience, car used to stop on a penny, if anything to severely as the back wasn't up to the job and under extreme braking the back end used to go light and fish tail slightly, scary when you are slamming on hitting traffic
