It's alright at the moment because it's all going well, but when it's not he hasn't a clue. You wait until things aren't going right all the time.

Surely thats a good thing? if your winning 3.0 and you ask players how they are feeling and if they want to come off, especially after one has come back from injury

Maybe this is where some managers go wrong and leave players on to long and there injuries worsen?

If that was a concern he would have just brought them off. It seems a very naive way of managing to me. Youd never see Ferguson asking players if they want to stay on, and you cant tell me AVB is a better manager.

I like spurs, i dont like AVB though, and im not yet convinced. Wait until it starts not going to plan.

Thats more of a result of chelsea falling apart rather then him being great.

Im fairly sure if Di Matteo was still there the situation would be different, in fact i think the table would look Manu, Chels, City

I actually think it was excellent man management. Did you see the smile on Bale's face from first minute to last? When your players are enjoying themselves do you honestly think they want to be brought off when they're in such a comfortable position? The team spirit at Spurs looks like its at a ridiculous high just now and the football they are playing shows it.

I remember Richard Gough point blank refused to come off for Rangers many years ago. Every time they went to bring on a sub he kept gesturing "five more minutes" You want your players to have that hunger and desire to give their all and play.
