borrowed a jack from work so i could get the rose jointed linkage adjusted better. turns out one of the rose joints, where it bolts through to the linkage was loose. sorted that, bent a bit of it to stop a rose joint bottoming out and that was that.

future drag racing modifications.....

i like the red colour filter on the editing software ive got.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylnBpUeNL48&feature=plcp

stuck the go pro to the back of the corsa to see if it puts flames out when it touches the limiter while spinning etc. it does.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcEZWOX0O4I&feature=plcp

tested out the gear linkage, seems pretty decent. shame the box will expire soon by the feel of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSR2VAiQteY&feature=plcp

added some clocks into the top right the best i could of the standing kilometre run from ten of the best.

springs to fit on the weekend, then i might start removing the dashboard etc on sunday so i can sort the wiring out.

is that around 15 seconds to 130-140mph? that is absolutely mental in a corsa i bet

i knew this was quick but it isn't until you see the speedo that you realise just how ridiculously insane it is.

fit new 400lb front springs. difference was very noticeable when driving. a lot stiffer from the front of the car. need to fire them 400lb rears in see if it squats a lot less. probably try and get that done next weekend.

might need a hair cut soon

speedo cable drive in the gearbox was a bit mashed, the cable wouldnt tighten up obviously due to the threads and it had stopped working.

acquired one from my mate ste and got among fitting that which included the centre of the old one dropping into the gearbox.

cav slab isnt that far off fitting over the reylands. i mean it would need the wheel skimmed on the inside, which maybe a bit dodgy although there is a lot of alloy there.

ste was fitting my old bottom arms and tie bars and anti roll bar on to his corsa as they were all polybushed.

i like xe corsas that look like nothing.

when i got home i realised that the stronger springs has meant that the front requires lowering a bit. doesnt move a great deal when you jump up and down on the headlamp panel.

drove through the lovely village of flimby on the way to a cruise in workington, west cumbria.

thats the only photos of cars i took

some bloke was taking photos using tripods and other high end looking equipment.

had a nice meal from workingtons best take away place called caspian. top notch food.

someone stuck some eyelashes on my car giving it a hitler tash.

50 something miles later they were still attached having survived some speeds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp2DvsnNZTE&list=UU3JDKHXF95TEOWYSYN8bmfw&index=1&feature=plcp

someone pulled some wheelies in the car park.

someone elses pic. demonstrates the need for a hair cut a bit

Can't believe the difference car looks with a decent camera. Looks so clean Nic to say it's a drag car and takes alot of hammer.

Loving the pic with your name on.
