Also, both cams now turn and do not catch at all.

Im going to spend another hour or so taking them down a bit more so the clearance is more than enough.

Then i can get it washed out and valves back in

Awesome stuff Dan well done,

Im going to ring SBD in the morning and order some slim-line valve seals, think they do next day delivery!

Tonight i have been sanding again, i got the doors done, aswel as the vented wing. Got a few other bits to sand and then gonna do it all over again!

I have ordered the outer morette lamps from Cibie (£78!!) and a pipe bender for my roll-cage tube....

SBD recommend that you take the lip off the standard valve seals yourself.

I have sourced some that are already done and are £1.75 each so will be ordering them soon!

Missed the delivery on the bastard pipe bender, how annoying. And my morette lamps have arrived. Just waiting on delivery of the carbon inlet rams for the morette inners then i can build the morettes up and get some pics!

How much was the bottom pulley? I get a good deal but jbs motorsport is the place !

--------------------------

I'm officially on a weight saving mission, the more weight out the better and imo it looks so much smarter with none of the original seat mounts, gear selector surround, handbrake surround etc. So out came the spot weld removers and grinder! :-)

more out:

fuel tank off:

a little clean up:

-----------------

PS. The black circles are to mark where i have to weld some holes over

you can put strength back into it by welding some seat bars for side mounts. and with the cage in there will be alot of strength in that

Cant see how the "chassis" has been weakened at all tbh, if i bolt the door bars in and the cross bar at the back it will be stronger than a standard "chassis". Then theres the seat bars to be welded in and extra cageage too !

Cage planning:

Will also have a cross bar, seat bars etc etc but this is a rough idea.

Rear floor cutting:

Other 4 roll-cage points welded up with custom made blocks:

Floor bungs sealed in and welds sealed over:

You are one brave mofo cutting bits out!

Why have you cut a hole in the boot floor though? Or is it just cutting the spare wheel well out and welding a plate in?

Lol, some would say. Thats how i go about everything i do.... just do it!

Hole is mainly to get rid of wheel well BUT i'm not just going to leave a gaping hole in the floor as it would be well to weak.... so keep your eyes peeled here and all will become clear

alrite matey what pipe bender have you got? just im 99% sure if its not a proper mandrel you will crush the cage tubing.

o and if after a tube notcher...do a search for 'chester tube nothcer' they supply tweeks, but are cheaper

and that taped bit going across tunnel will do sod all if roll it, want that going straight across tunnel, without the 2 pieces going down, and also triangulate it all

mine..before i ripped it all to bits again in october:

harness bar across rear

just see rear bar coming from behind door bar to rear off cage too
