lack of wifi imo is a mistake but its a massive revenue stream and we dont wanna lose it i guess
the 3g network is good enough in the majority oif places for it not to be a botheration... ive never once used it on my n95 8gb... the 3g network does me fine

it will be a minority as most peiople never use their wifi (i havent ever used it on my phone), most people get 3G, a minority dont so it wont be a major major problem, foolish in my mind yes as if even an E51 has it then it shoudl be std but its not

Apart from a screen that clicks in it's got nothing we've not seen in other phones.

yeah gonna have to agree, the only thing new is the screen which imo really isnt that good.
its got no wifi and yes a lot of people use wifi especially around the home for numerous reasons, vnc clients, connecting to winamp, controlling itunes ect, its just stupid not putting wifi in.
the unlimited data tariffs are capped at 500mb so its not like its really unlimited.
the screen res which was meant to be amazing HD is lower than many phones already released such as the touch pro which is also a VGA screen aswell as having a higher resolution.
Not to mention its pretty much a new OS so theres that to contend with.
pretty average IMO.
And i wouldnt dream of owning a phone that didnt have wifi.

I really dont think that people who want wi-fi on their phones are a minority, i use mine literally 24/7, at home, at work, at the mrs even when im out shopping, none of which i can access though 3G due to there being very limited coverage. I feel i am not the only one. No Wi-Fi function = Fail

I've read from a non-vodafone employee that the screen is quite good.
That's 1 feature that's not on other phones though, not 3, and they've taken out something people would rather have instead of the screen.
Still think it'll do as well as you did 20 pages ago bubblevaux?

hell yes.
pre-orders are massive, call volume is approx 15 per agent per day for wanting it.
and matt h-there will be no epic fail when it comes to 3g-we just happen to be flicking the swicth on to a new UMTS service on day of launch-what a coincidence eh?
