If you had a budget of £500 you could get some mediocre media PC from PC world, building your own would get you a decent spec rig if it's just the tower and components you're after.

got an email today off play.com saying it will arrive by courier due to the post strikes so thats nice. its been on pre order for months now. was starting to think id not get it on release day.

is it sad that i've booked an entire week off work to play this? i've not pre-ordered it so will just go down asda monday night and pick it up. should be on sale at midnight i reckon. will probably have to beat up loads of geeks to get my hands on it!

yea but nath, the xbox arcade doesnt come with HDD or Mic, and you DO need a HDMI cable or it looks shite.

i agree tho you get more from that £200 than you would if you spent it on a PC.

You can get preowned Premiums for less than £100 tbh.

And Component on the right TV looks alright.

But yeah, value for money you just cant knock a console. Better or not. I'd love to have a big gaming set up PC, but just dont have the room.
