Yep, looking forward to SCS with it being a new show for CS, hopefully it'll be looking 'complete' by then too with the correct wheels, completed stickers and depos
Oh, next trackday booked too Knockhill 14th May, it's a TrackScotland day so Adam and Fee will be about and Ian, Ste and Rob are all in too, then we'll be going back on the 15th to watch Fee (and possibly Adam) racing in the Time Attack so should be a good weekend if anyone's about

Tracking done Whilst it was in the garage rang up to asking if I wanted my rear brakes adjusting as that's why there's so much travel in the pedal. No I don't but thanks for giving me a free diagnosis Little job for the weekend along with my front pads

with regards to fitting your seat. How did you do it? I need to fit my side mounted seat but dont know the best way to do it. I see you cut part the floor out. Why was this? Any help is really appriciated!

Didn't realise I didn't have any completed photos. Basically because it's purely for track, the lightest option, which also kept the seats low down, was to work with the original mounts so were the standard subframes hook in at the front, we cut those hooks out and welded in a plate with a captive nut which the side mounts bolt directly onto, then for the back of the seat we used a piece of angle again with captive nuts, this pic just about shows the angle running across the back
Assuming your's is a road car then ideally you want to keep the adjustment which either means modifying the original runners or some seat manufacturers do tailored subframes, that's how they were fitted in my old car, tailored subframes and adaption bars from Cobra, which I still have lying about if you might need them.

Thanks mate. Not many people have an idea how to do it, been asking about this for weeks! Do your seats sit pretty low now then? Is the bar along the back there the same height as a standard subframe??

It's probably a bit lower.

The bar will be around the same height but buckets don't have a big thick seat base so I do sit quite obviously lower although I have my seats in the lowest holes on the side mounts so if I used the top ones instead, it'd be sitting probably just short of 2 inches higher which may be more suitable, although if it's remaining a road car, cutting the standard mounts out probably won't sit too well in terms of resale value

Yep, pain in the arse atm.
Just realised I've possibly only got 1 available weekend between now and SCS
If Dave can get the stickers made up when he's about, they can be sorted through the week, need to speak to a customer about my wheels, order bonnet pins, speak to gez bay see if he could sort tyres through his local place seeing as he's been quoted £360 fitted order bonnet pins and keep an eye out for a splitter.
Need to get back to being conscious about getting it done, it's out of sight, out of mind atm

Part worn monkey can fit them if he can send them.
Also might be worth speaking to the Maxxis guy about some cheap cheap deals, I need a set for the C as well and I think Ste might come in on them so that's at least 12 if not more.

Pretty sure Rob needs some too. I'll text Ste tomorrow, get him to check with Rob then when we know how many I'll get in touch with gez and you can speak to your man about the Maxxis, see what works out best.
