pics of my new engine and i have started to it strip down
and need a new crank pulley and spocket as theres should not be stuck together
i bought it for £100 which included
loom
ecu
airflow meter
fuel pump
powersteering pump
2 engine mounts
two piece exhaust manifold
corsa header tank
brand new timing kit
brand new clutch
starter motor
senor for oil presure gauge
alternater (could be fucked)

not much of an update but i removed the cyclinder head to see whats what and it quite clean
also broke senor for oil pressure gauge
as you can see theses are low compression pistions so they will be changed

yes everything will be getting done it be like yours but the 8v version lol but i wont be putting the engine in my car until im 21 so i got 2 years to make it mint and tune the engine

Just removed the sump and thinkin of removing crank so everything can be cleaned proply also bought some c20xe pistons and rods for it

If you get that sat in the bay looking as nice as you've got your 1l looking it'll be mega. Something awesome about a good clean 8v in a clean bay, might be worth checking out some of the VAG boys and belgian 8v stuff for some inspiration as they know how to do awesome 8v bays

I can't remember how much mine cost to be honest as I got it ground down and had new bearings and work done on the block whilst I had it all apart. But for all that work I paid £300 which included rings and bearings etc.
Over the time you're taking I'm sure you could save to have it all done and at least you'll know it's at it's best.

on them 8v engines you can have the cam casing skimmed and it gives the effect of having a high lift cam
