Just thought I'd be clear and objective for the people who waded in late calling this forum a gang of cunts.
No one said it.
Someone replied to say it was disgraceful even though no one said it.
People then said it was terrible that it had been said when the only mention was people saying it was disgraceful after no one said it.
So basically, no one said it, everyone was being fairly diplomatic and nice, and the thread turned to shit when some opinions came out that people didn't like, and most of the last few pages have been about how we should silence opinion because that'll make everything OK.
Even if this thread goes, I'll still have opinions as will a lot of other people, as will Briskoda users who have been moderated, as will users on the bike forums who have had posts removed, as will everyone on Facebook who didn't just post nice things.
Moderating posts doesn't change minds, I have a delete posts button, I don't have a 'forgive years of cunt like behaviour just because you're dead now' button.
Its fucking absolutely sad that his legacy is a load of arguing on the internet and if one good thing is to come of this then I hope future generations read this bollocks and decide to make sure people don't think they're a cunt. They'd also do well to learn to slow the fuck down and respect the road because it will kill them.
I appreciate you can't see it now and you want to call us cunts for being honest but as I said a few pages ago, there are some very profound lessons to be learnt from this.
I've no real desire to continue arguing about it, I think its a damn shame that I've had to even say this much, but in the interests of clarity to the people involved, its a horrific shock and I've no doubt everyone on whichever side of the fence will be affected by it in whatever small way.
I plan to leave the thread to run its course and I would hope anyone who reads it does so in full to see where it ended up. He lived his life provoking massive threads on the internet so I see no reason for that to change.
