American Hustle 10/10... would have been a 9 but J.law easily bumps it up to a 10... really really good film, good plot and interetsing. Middle was a bit confusing (esp with a NYE hangover) but really enjoyed it

American Hustle - 6/10 - Incredibly poor plot development and script only saved by some magnificent performances from the cast.

Man of steel.

Made better by watching in 3D, slow starter but would rate as a 7.

Elysium / could have been about half hour shorter, felt stretched in places

Not too sure what to think about this one. On the one hand they have gone in a new direction with the Khan character and flip reversed some of STII's other elements too. I thought the storyline was pretty weak however. Still, nice set up for more.

I came out of the cinema thinking 'That could and should have been better'. Going to watch it again tomorrow

I'm not a star trek purist, not fussed about any links to the originals, and I quite enjoyed it, probably 7.5/8 out of 10. Looked lovely, good action.

Watched it again on Sunday, enjoyed it more than when I went to watch it on the big screen

I think the final fight scene between Khan and Spock was a tad weak (left me leaving the cinema feeling abit short changed (particular as I watched it down in Larndddan £££££ :lol, particularly after witnessing Black Enterprise falling down to earth and crashing through the city - which was a epic scene!!! - and I think that sums up the movies; it has fantastic scenes, makes use of good CGI (as you said, the movie looks 'lovely' :wave and it has very likeable characters. I want to give both a 10/10 but there's just something missing.

Still up there for me as one of the best 'reboots' and wouldnt mind if they made a third

PS. The Black Enterprise is a fooking BEASTTTTTTT!!!!!!!

Silver Linings Playbook - 5/10

I watched this expecting to see a film making masterpiece going by all the hype, praise and Oscar win. The film was slow, boring and didn't particularly go anywhere. The story is supposed to centre on Pat Jr getting his life back on track in his own way. All I saw was him running in a bin bag and chatting to Tiffany, which would have been fine had there been any substance to these scenes. I Feel like I've wasted 2 hours that I will never get back.

I don't care how hot Jennifer Lawrence is, I'm sure there is another thread somewhere for any pending discussion on "yeah but Jennifer Lawrence is in it"!

Universal soldier: The return

-6/10

Maybe a bit unfair as I managed about 6minutes. But it was like some 1980's made for TV special. Just lots of stunt men jumping away from explosions that looked fake with some diabolical acting.

Windtalkers 1/10

Utter bollocks. Score lifted from a 1990's kids film married to some dodgy directing of an almost insensitive nature, plus some god awful slow mo's. Turned it off it was so bad.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones - 2/10

Really poor for me this one.
It didn't need gangsters, was a bit too super-hero powers for me and just didn't have the intensity I was hoping for.
Got jumpy at a couple of bits but I feel the intensity was numbed down by the many funny *lol* parts.
Great bit of cleavage in one scene though!

American hustle tonight.

Good visual effects and decent action throughout.

We're the millers 8/10

Very funny in places, and Jesus, Aniston is still hot!

The sightseers. 9/10

Bizarre yet total brilliant. Definately didn't expect it to be so good.
