Have you seen The Girl?

I found that very interesting. it paints Hitchcock in a much more negative light.

Gravity

Visually - 10/10
As a movie - 9/10

Decided to go and watch this at BFI IMAX down in larnnnndan, and glad I did. Visually it was stunning. I also liked how the film makers used interesting objects such as a the deployed parachute to enhance the experience of being in space. Also like some of the camera angles and 1st person frames.

As for the plot, yeah. It was fairly enjoyable, slightly far fetched in places but nothing to cry about.

I just wished there were move movies 'for the cinema' like this

Springbreakers 1/10.

Only got a 1 because of tits, otherwise it'd be a -10. Awful.

Vinyl - 7/10

Not bad actually. Ageing rock group can't get airplay so get some kids to front a fake band. Based on a real hoax.

Now you see me - 8/10

Actually quite enjoyed it, didn't get the twist, although realised it was something to do with it halfway through. Nice.

I watched that a few months ago. One of the worst films I've ever seen!

Watched Carrie (2013) the other night. 6/10. Don't think it was quite as good as the original.

12 years a slave... Couldn't get into it, actually fell asleep during it. People at our showing clapped at the end of the film so I assume they liked it.

6/10,not for me, I have no doubt others will love it though.

Wolf of wall street - 9/10 because it seems to be just about what happened. If it was made up it wouldnt score as high.

Oblivion 7/10

Would have been 8 but acting and cast was a little thin on the ground, visual effects I thought were quite good, very clever story

Oblivion 5/10. just didn't get it. I'm assuming 'sally' was a robot and jack and the ginger bird were clone aliens, except tech 49 jack harper was an original human being?

Bit weird tbh.

Life of Pi 8/10. Really liked it. Simple storyline, easy to follow when half asleep.
