some old pics of stuff.
my first car. 1.4sr nova. beast.
ended up like that, luckily.
then i had a cab gsi which had an engine fitted by regal bought it in 2001 for £895 with the c20let and f28, had a slight boost issue, easily sorted by some proper spark plugs. bargain. this essentially is where the engine in my corsa began, although the current build of the engine only has the crank left from the one in the cav pmsl.
c20let went from cavalier into that nova before it was in my current corsa. the engine expired, and due to requiring a full re-paint it worked out cheaper to buy a corsa than it did fix the nova up, so that got scrapped.
then had that corsa sri which we did a conversion on in an evening while i rebuild the c20let engine which made its way into the cors in 2005.
so on to todays new purchase.....
2010 model trek 1.2 road bike. took it for a ride out today with my mate jim. over 31 miles we did at a slow pace due to nearly 30mph winds in places.
decent bike, was like brand new when i bought it allegedly only used twice by previous owner.
stupid bmw saloon seats dont go down do they so ive had to borrow a civic to transport the bike about in. roof rack and bike carrier coming soon for the diesel dog.

so i was driving home from work on the m6 between junction 44 and 43 about to turn off for home when bang, airbags went off. car pulls violently to left get it stopped weirdly behind an AA van on the hard shoulder. im a member so thought winner. get out, had a quick look at the car, then as i walked to the passenger side seen that infront of the AA van was about 10-12 cars all with hazard lights on.
so its a giant fuck off pot hole in lane 1 of the m6. need to claim from the highways agency which is an easy task of them sending out a claim form to then be told to fuck off like the council do i bet.
damage that i know of, 2 tyres, 2 wheels look a bit dodgy, air bags that you can see as pictured, door card driver side, possibly an airbag module?? will have an assesment in the daylight in the morning and see what im going to do.
so unfortunately that may mean im using the corsa for work, or on the push bike. either option im not too happy about tbh.

Probably wont. Highways agency don't like to pay out for anything. Probably not the cheapest of things to replace and fix either are air bags and modules.. Wheels are about 400 2nd hand.

Just sent him a message. Wheels won't be 400. 400 is for a set of staggered ones.
Should be able to pick up one rear for 80 ish and front for 50-60 + tyres

fitted some new tyres. went for 50 profile instead of 45 as it drives way better on them round here on the b roads etc. plus theyre cheaper. i liked the previous falken 912's so thought id give a go with the 914's.
