on Bet365 most games offer 1/20 for over 0.5goals.

so £10 returns 50p, which is more than you will get for that £10 in the bank in most cases......

So if you can bet on 10 games a day and win each time you could be in the money. Slow and steady wins the race.

It is as well

A fourfold of 11/2's, staking a pound would win you 1785.06.

How many combinations of draws could there have been though? Surely not over 1700? So you could have just put a quid one every possible draw outcome and won?

I dont do maths so i must be missing something here

Good point, no chance it was 11/2 per fixture.

Each team could draw 7 other teams. 8 x 7 = 56 different combinations.

Doesn't matter in what order they were pulled out both in terms of home/away or where in terms of 'match 1' 'match 2' etc...

In fact I don't even think there is as many as 56 because all 8 teams don't have 7 unique teams they could draw.

Correct me if im wrong but i just did this:

Man Utd = 1
Chelsea = 2
Spurs = 3
RM = 4
Barca = 5
Shak = 6
Inter = 7
Schalke = 8

1v2
3v4
5v6
7v8

1v3
2v4
5v7
6v8

1v4
2v3
5v8
6v7

1v5
2v6
3v7
8v4

1v6
2v5
3v8
7v4

1v7
2v8
3v5
6v4

1v8
2v7
3v6
4v5

If home/away doesn't count, nor the order they come out.

Thats 7 bets

Hang on, no there will be more than that, cba figuring them all out though Thats all the different combos for each team, so times that by 7 and you might have somewhere closer to to amount of permutations. Remember why i hated maths now

On BET365 earlier it had all the teams and you could bet on who you thought there opponant would be and I swear each one was 11/2
