UPDATE 20th Jan 2008
No news on the Scooby im afraid but to get his mind off it we decided to have a day on the Corsa Van
As the day started
Bumper needs "some work
How an Exhaust system should look
First job was to swap the rear brake hoses for braided items
New ones installed
Next some spacers were machined to relocated the Tie Bars under the wishbone to clear the F28 gearbox adequately. (Mine has already had this done)
Then the brakes were took apart at the front for a "freshen up" New pads, grind back the lip on the discs and rub down the mounting surfaces.
Next the battery was relocated in the boot
And finally we modified and setup the 6 speed gear linkage with a mixture of Calibra and Corsa parts.
More updates after Tuesday night

UPDATE:
23rd JAN 2008
Thanks for your comments guys
Last night it was Cage fitting time for the van. (OMP 10 point to be exact) which has been powder coated black.
When I arrived (this is how low the back will sit once its got some new springs on)
Love this pic
Cage in but not fixed
We used a hydraulic extending bar (don't know what its called) to push the legs right to the edges
Before drilling the holes for the legs to bolt down to
Quite a bit of hammering of the underside of the car was required to align the cage with the floor Not the greatest fitting cage in the world but its fitted.
And thats how we left it for the night, ready to bolt it all down nice and tight at the weekend
Only a handful of jobs to do now before she's a runner......

few questions on the cage, did the legs reach right to the floor? seen a few where boxes have needed to be welded in.

Haha, yeah it'll be "made better" if only for the MOT.
Got to get it running first though...

Yes the feet reached the floor at the front, but in the middle the floor was hammered up 4-5mm.
I'll take pics of the feet at the weekend when we do some more work on it

UPDATE:
27th Jan 2008
Started by taking the suspension off my car (due to a coilover upgrade)
I know the car looks pink but honestly its not
Front Strut
And finally got round to fitting the bonnet struts i've been meaning to fit for ages
Engine bay still needs tidying up
On to the Van
First job was to roughly do the tracking using an old skool tracking gauge
Next we tidied some of the wiring and fitted the headlights and horn
Then got her on the ramps
And started making a rear strut brace which will hold the Harnesses
Internal plate
External plate (along with one of the cage plates on the right)
A cross bar was then cut to size
And tacked in
And removed before being welded up nicely
And thats it for today apart from some new bushes arriving for my Skoda Fabia....
Front wishbone and Anti Roll bar Poly bushes and SEAT Ibiza front rear facing Console bushes which will hopefully make the front end a bit tighter
