250nm seems way too much, I just did my rear bearing on the 106, was tourqued up to 140nm.

Ian, we need to re position the battery into the boot to get a bit of weight in there and then that will give us space to sort out the coolong filter in the space.

Thanks Danny.
Can't put that battery in the boot, it's not sealed.
I'll buy one at some point but not for the weekend. That wouldn't sort out the bias anyway, it's too bad. Ste has fitted the valve today inline and I'm going to go up there later to mount it on the tunnel.
Then I'm going to clean the fridge and move some furniture downstairs for the weekend.
Pics to follow

Bias valve is fitted and I've left Ian a nice puddle of dot 5.1 from cutting and flaring the pipes.
IAN: Ensure you top up the brake fluid reservoir and if needed, give it a quick bleed before you drive it. I've left a half made bracket on the bench. pics needed of it fitted
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I chickened out at 200 tbh.
That's how far the wrench goes anyway.
Also, we've already got in to trouble for someone trying to sell Autodata screen grabs so no thanks, I'll turn down the kind offers

I think so, yes. There is no Puma Haynes manual and a lot of people say use the Fiesta one instead.

Do the wheels spin ok? iirc they are concentric bearings so don't do them too tight or they'll break! The Escort uses the same bearings and they are torqued to 60lbf (260nm) Make sure you didn't do it to 260lbf or you'll fuck them!

The usual method is tighten it till it stops then back it off a little, thats why they are castlated so they stay were they are put and not tightened to fuck.
As long as they still turn you'll be fine
